"A Light Left On"

Are there moments when musical partners find each other in the grand plan of the cosmos. In the case of The Western Den, their wonderfully charismatic story is that of music fairy tales. Deni Hlavinka, a pensive pianist from small town Virginia, posted a song idea on a college forum for accepted students. Chris West, an eager guitarist from Bermuda, sent back the song the following day in finished form. Upon meeting in person, they discovered their bond musically was like-minded. There was never a discussion of forming a band, never a conscious choice, it was just implied. It was the meeting of two forces destined to create together. Seven years later the duo release their debut LP, A Light Left On.
