Selected by Boo Hewerdine's own label Haven Records we are delighted to announce the release of river is me by Tom Houston. This digital only mini Album features Tom in relaxed acoustic mood with six of his compelling original songs. Five of the songs are produced by the legendary Neill MacColl who has been working with Tom for nearly 15 years. The musicians involved across the tracks are of the highest calibre.
When asked if he has a ‘claim to fame’ Tom gives four replies ’No claim, and no fame’ ‘I did make the best sourdough in Edinburgh in the early eighties’ ‘I remember being mistaken for Paulo Nutini and Neill Dimond in the same year’ ‘I could mention the cowrite of a Christmas hit with Chris Difford which featured on the One Show’
Prior to going full time in music in 2018 Tom had a varied career as a cook, joiner, crofter, youthworker and Arts specialist.
